alarming: very shocking and upsetting, or causing a lot of worry or fear.

American Bill of Rights: an addition made to the Constitution of the United States in 1791 that guarantees certain rights to the people, including freedom of speech and freedom of religion. It also prevents the police and other government officials from searching people’s homes or offices or taking their property without good reason and proper authority.

art: a branch of learning concerned with human thought and relations, as distinguished from a science, especially literature, philosophy, history, etc.

authority: power over and responsibility for a group of people or an area of activity.

civilization: all the people in the world and the societies they live in, considered as a whole.

clinic: a place where people go to be treated for physical or mental problems.

compliment: a statement showing admiration or praise.

condition: the particular state or situation that someone or something is in.

confess: admit that one has done something wrong or bad.

constructive: useful and intended to help or improve something.

curses: says something insulting or offensive to, or about, someone or something, especially because one is angry or annoyed.

exercising: using something such as a right, power or ability.

experience: feel something physically or emotionally, or have something happen to one.

FBI: abbreviation for Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Government agency that investigates (tries to find out facts about what happened) when a federal law is broken and that protects national security. Federal here means relating to the national government of the US as opposed to state governments.

find fault: find things that are wrong with someone and criticize or complain about him.

fool: trick or deceive.

fundamental: basic or essential.

heartbreak: feeling very upset or distressed.

hostile: unfriendly or showing dislike toward someone or something.

in the name of: for the stated purpose of something.

last resort: something that is tried or done after everything else has failed.

majority: most of the things in a group or the larger number or amount of something.

manifestations: signs that clearly show the qualities or character of someone.

Martian: someone who supposedly lives on the planet Mars.

mental institution: a place where mentally ill people are treated or forced to stay.

objects to: opposes or disagrees with something.

overcome: defeat or gain control over someone.

permit: allow someone to do, have or get something.

regulated: controlled something by getting people to follow rules.

science: a systematically arranged collection of knowledge or study dealing with the physical world or the people living together in society.

sense: an ability to understand, realize or feel something.

sever: completely end something such as a connection or relationship, figuratively as if cutting it off.

severely: in a very serious or extreme way.

society: people who live together and share the same laws, traditions, way of life, etc.

surrounding: close to or around someone.

talent: a natural ability to do something well.

visible: able to be seen or observed.
