better: improve something.

decline: a change to a worse or less favorable state.

dip: a short decrease or lowering of the level of something.

disrupt: interrupt or put into a state of disorder.

effort: an attempt to do something, especially something that is hard to do.

gadget: a small device that performs or helps with a simple task.

goof off: waste time, ignore one’s responsibilities or do things that are not important. Literally, a goof is a silly person.

inherit: receive the possessions, money and/or property of someone after the person has died.

showroom: a large room in which automobiles are displayed for sale.

slightly: to a very small degree.
